So i am back with the review of another Pure Suds product which i have been loving a lot since more than a month now!! Today i am going to be talking about the Cocoa coffee brightening face scrub. If you are a Chocolate or a Coffee lover you need to get this in your life!!
Claims by Pure Suds :
The Cocoa coffee brightening face scrub is a multi purpose face scrub suitable to all skin types. Handmade with love it is made with skin loving oils such as Golden Jojoba oil, Almond oil, Castor oil and grape seed oil along with fine cocoa powder and ground coffee bean for deep cleansing and exfoliation.
Cocoa and coffee together work as antioxidants and help the skin brighten up to its natural color. Also helps with de-tan and removal of dead skin and lightens pigmentation.
Price : Rs. 400/- for 90 gms
Shelf Life: 8 months from the date of manufacturing
Packaging : The cream comes in a plastic jar with a gold colored screw lid which shuts tight hence making it travel friendly. I do find the Jar a little big to carry while travelling and even otherwise. So I like to remove some cream in another plastic container and refill it. Its much more convenient as dipping your fingers into the jar could lead to product contamination.
My Experience with the Pure Suds Cocoa Coffee Face Scrub :
First look at this scrub and you would think that it is a chocolate mousse! lol i literally mean it 😛 It looks and smells soooo heavenly that you have to resist yourself from eating it! The consistency of the scrub is thick and the brown colour is due to the cocoa powder and coffee granules in it. The grounded coffee granules give the exfoliating effect and work as a scrub quite well. The granules do not feel at all abrasive and is quite gentle on the skin. Since i have an extremely dry and sensitive skin type, i did feel some mild tingling sensation on few occasions. but it goes away within few seconds.
I use this scrub twice a week, since i have dry skin, and over exfoliating could make it more sensitive. I first like to dampen my face, and then take the desired amount of this scrub into my palms and i slowly massage it onto my damp face using circular motions. Specially concentrating on my nose area and chin area where i tend to get black heads and white heads a lot.
The fragrance of this scrub is sooo chocolatey-coffeeish (if that is even a word :p) that you have to resist the urge of gulping it :p After massaging for few minutes i like to keep it on my face for few more minutes until it dries completely and then i wash it off. My skin does feel a lot more smoother and brighter post cleansing with water.
Also my skin doesn’t feel stretched or dry at all, and the reason i guess is the inclusion of skin loving oils such as Golden Jojoba oil, Almond oil, Castor oil and grape seed oil that makes sure to keep the skin supple and moisturized post use.
I have definitely found lot of reduction in my white heads and black heads. For deep pore cleansing you can even steam your face prior to using this scrub for better effect.
Coming to the claims of tan removal and lightening pigmentation, I am not tanned as of now so cannot claim on that aspect. However i do agree that it lightens pigmentation. I had some mild pigmentation around my mouth area which has definitely lightened. Also I have definitely seen few dark spots on my face slowly fading.
Overall i am pretty happy using this scrub as i have seen a lot of improvement in my skin texture. And so would highly recommend all you dolls to definitely try this out since it is suitable for ALL SKIN TYPES! However, do note that since Bhavna is expecting all Pure suds products will only be available post September.
Have you tried any products from Pure Suds ??? If yes do share your thoughts 🙂
